Delve in an exciting and astonishing journey of Mission to Mars!

Have you ever wondered what lies beyond our planet? What do rockets carry and why do rockets go into space? Why humans are exploring Mars, the Red Planet? What are Rovers? Or, does all of this sound alien to you?

Get ready to awaken the astronaut in you! This April we bring to you, an extra-terrestrial experience of becoming a Space Scientist and Engineer to explore Mars, as a future home for humans. 

  • Explore the possibility of Growing Food on Mars,
  • Look into providing Drinkable Water on the Red Planet,
  • Build and launch your own Rockets from their launch pads,
  • Discover the science behind Rockets by making balloon cars,
  • Design your own Mars Rover for Mission to Mars 2025 and
  • Walk on Mars in Virtual Reality (VR).

Mission to Mars is a 2.5 hours long interactive and engaging experience on the theme of Space Science principally around the exploration of MARS that will excite and inspire you about Science, Technology and Engineering. This session will offer you an opportunity to think like a future inhabitant, explorer and researcher of Mars with six unique hands-on experiments:

Zartaj Waseem, Co-Founder & CEO Pakistan Space Science Education Centre (PSSEC)

Zartaj Waseem is a STEAM Education Advisor and a Software Engineer by profession. She is focused on transforming the teaching and learning of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Being the pioneer of STEM Education in Karachi, Zartaj is currently heading the Robotics & STEM Studio at Haque Academy while she works closely with FIRST, US for FIRST Championships. Formerly she has led Robotics Labs, the first STEM Education Centre of Pakistan, as the Head of STEM Education.

She was the first Pakistani to be invited as a FIRST Global International Judge in its inaugural event in July 2017 and serves as a Global STEM Corps Advisor to virtually mentor teams for the same program.  Zartaj is also an Advisor for RoboKids Pakistan, STEM360 and Tech Tree.
