T2F presents the screening of two documentary films by Muhammad Ali Ijaz, Pangolins In Peril: A story of Rare Scales 
and Missing Vultures

Muhammad Ali Ijaz graduated from National College of Arts, Lahore, with a degree in Film and Television Production. He has a passion for making documentary films on wildlife conservation and environmental issues in Pakistan and has received the WWF- Living Planet award for his documentary “Missing Vultures”.
He has been making documentaries for various national and international organisations including UNDP, UNICEF, Oxfam and WWF. His documentary work has been screened at various film festivals around the world including USA, Denmark, Nepal, China and Dubai, winning awards in India, Finland and Dubai. He currently works as a director for a development communications company in Islamabad and also teaches film production at various universities.


Missing Vultures (20 mins):
Once numbering in millions and found throughtout Pakistan, Vultures are now at the brink of extinction. This documentary reveals the reason behind their disappearance and explores the environmental and cultural significance of these magnificent birds.

- Won the best documentary award at the 2011 Alpavirama Film Festival, India.
- Nominated for ‘Golden Panda Award’ at 2011 Sichuan TV Festival, China.
- Won the best documentary award at the 2010 ZAB film festival in Karachi, Pakistan.
- Selected at Vaasa Wildlife Film Festival 2010 in Finland.
- Show cased at the 2011 Herning Film Festival in Denmark.
- Screened at ‘Beskop Tshechu 2011’ Short Film Festival, Bhutan


Pangolins in Peril- A story of rare scales (15 mins)
The rare secretive Pangolin also known as the scaly anteater plays a vital ecological role but is on the verge of extinction. Two brave and passionate wildlife watchers fight against the odds to save the endangered Pangolin in Pakistan.
